Adding Ram

When i bought my 2gig of ram i bought the corsair PC-8500C5DF kit. I was going to buy a normal pack of PC-8500C5D. But i read that these kits have different IC's. Will it be ok to use?

the new kits have quib u need a kit with rev 1.x on it and or rated at 2.2V and not 2.1V

or since u have gmh dominator most likely then get generic gmh from team group , or if u have gkx get the cell shock thats 1000mhz c4 or 1055 c5 with gkx

well the sticker on my dominator states

Version 1.2 5-5-5-15 2.2v. I was thinking about getting the standard kit

im about 90% sure that if u get those and ur not buying in person that u will get a rev 2.x with quib and quib and micron wont get along


i would advise that u post all of your rams info in the corasir section and then yellow beard will tell u what u have and then u will know that to hunt down, but i think that 1.2 are mostly gmh so just get something guarantied gmh
