Asus Xonar Question

Hi Everyone,
i've just bought a Xonar to replace my X-Fi in the below sig, but then saw the latest beta driver on the Asus site - something about fixing Battlefield in Vista x64? Should i expect it not to work in bf2142?

Install the new drivers. Usually driver patches fix possible erros with games NOT everybody will get the errors. I suggest you get the new drivers anyway as they have improvements for gaming. These new improvements should make your Xonar card sound better in games, depending on what type of games you play.

well so far with the new beta driver i've had issues with the Xonar in bf2142 (which it said it fixed) but i used the beta driver right from the first install, so i uninstalled the beta driver and installed the latest release driver - and all seems well so far - fingers crossed

The new drivers also feature GX 2.0 which is a wrapper for EAX 5.0 functionality.

no i get loads of artifacts with the original driver - gone to to the Supreme FXII and that has less interference than both the x-fi and the xonar! It just sound normal No fuzz when a titan explodes etc etc
