just bought a 24pin silverstone, but my motherbaord uses 20pin I connected it and it still fits with some extra pins not connected, would this run smoothly when powered?

The extra 4-pins don't snap off?

If not, and it fits with the four pins hanging off the end of the connector, there's no harm in that.

You washed your PSU and your afraid to connect a 24pin to 20pin power connector lmao. Don't worry it will be fine.

Its an 8 pin EPS 12V connector, can I use this as my 12v 4pin for my motherbaord

Yes. My Silverstone Olympia 650w has an 8pin EPS connector that splits into 2x 4pin connectors.

Connect that 8pin. It will be fine with 4 pins hanging off.

the 8pin wont split in 2, I can connect the 8pin but its the entire 8pin pluged into the 4pin on mobo. it looks silly.

and same with my 24pin the 4pin wont also split so also connected it with my 20pin on my mobo.

I guess my motherbaord would be just fine if I connect the 8pin EPS connector on the 4pin and the 24pin on the 20pin on my motherboard.

You don't need adapters if there are no components near the power connectors you're plugging into.

Plug the 24-pin into the 20-pin.

Plug 8-pin into the 4-pin.

Done.

Sounds like you got a PSU that's about 20x more than what you actually need. Tell me you're going to replace the rest of your components in the near future.
