Hi All,

Why was the allowed ping rate change so low "150"? I thought setting it to 350-400 would be fine.

We all know anyone with lag mostly has the disadvantage, can be annoying when they are in sniper mode (back and forth you cannot see the move).

Seems the server is dead now most players are on Gamearena I have no issues with that as my kill rate is higher (I am from Aust), but thought why the change.

I checked early tonight with the server info saying 150 is the cap. My ping is around 250 from Australia.

When I connect and start play I am kicked due to the 150 cap.

Its really up to you but thought 400 ping cap would be ideal, but really depends on how many users you want on the server.

Also have you looked into the constant crashing or fixed this with the changes?

the netcode if this game is terrible, anything over 100 is laggy as hell

Still cant get on, if you set the cap to 300 see you on there if not will have to stick to GA.

300 is a really generous ping. I have played on servers that kicked for a way less ping than that. Unfortunately location plays a huge part upon your ping. When in doubt just move to Chicago.

Yeah, Ive seen many servers that ban for over 120.... I never have an issue though because I have the top AT&T DSL... like 6Mb/768Kb... my ping rarely rises over 30... :ROTF: . Not many people are so fortunate though. ;)

I bumped it up to 450 . I'm the Server Manager and Have logs, and I Also know you were adverting on our server so, This is your fair warning, Do it again, and your banned.

I knew I should of taken a screen dump of the server info, it said 150, if this is different than the actually configuration I am wrong but when logging in and giving me the 250 red stripe on the screen and getting kicked off. My ping is 250.

Most likely the banning correct? maybe you should check the logs and see what was said first and by who said first, not my fault people are Noob and getting killed. One of your clan can back me up today on the server someone attempted to ban me, was on about 1ish Aust time.

You was Adverting a Austie Server. saying to check it out, repeatedly though out gameplay. Also. the current ping limit is "sv_max_ping_limit 400" right now. What does it say now?

It was either arguing with a user over lag and telling them to come down to Gamearena for a one on one... as it would turn this around.

If you have the logs post what was said only if it follows xtreme forum policies.

I am only argue with :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: on the server, I dont bother anyone with text or banning unless there using the gravity hack.

I'm not sure why its Displaying at 150, but I assure you, It was set to 300 at the time. And Right Now 400.

I have no issues setting mine up for 300.

What are you using for the "sv" change? Config file? Console? Switch?

Are you gonna be deleted your banning quote?

Or is this against your game server policy to mention GA even asking someone for a one on one due to them attempting to ban you because they believe lag has the advantage, I would clearly be look at user that stir the pot in these servers.
