New Sapphire 3870 cards and bios question.

I have one of the new Sapphire 3870s, blue with single slot cooler. It has a bios ver#010.072.000.001 dated 1-9-08. I can't flash the bios with any of the modded bioses for the pll fix to get past 864mhz. I always get a "subsystems mismatch error." Do the newer bioses already have the fix in them? Whats the deal?

Any help is appreciated.

You should to be able top get past 860 with any BIOS newer that 070. no?

Thought that might be the case, my card starts to get picky around 877. Didnt know if it was due to voltage or the bios. Wasnt giong to do the pencil mod til I was sure about the bios though.

try run > cmd > atiwinflashdir\ atiwinflash.exe -f -p 0 filename.bin

forced flash, works for me. i always get a mismatch error.

Dont understand why it wont flash, even from a boot disk with atiflash and the -f force command.

you need to put the bios .bin file in the atiwinflash directory.

It has to work when booting with USB/floppy. That mismatch error comes up when model number or manufacturer dont match (or something like that).

The error is when I use winflash in windows. With the floppy, the drive just keeps clicking endlessly with no result.
