vidcard = dead so I'm looking for a new card. my GF2pro was getting outdated anyway, and I even couldn't run RTCW:ET at 1024*768 and medium detail.

it has to overclock well and be powerful enough for most games.
2 options:
* buy a cheap card now (75€) and save money for a better card
* get a good card right now

my future setup will be a a7n8x deluxe (already bouht) and 256MB XMS3500 CL2 or 512MB noname PC4000

I've got about 150€ for a videocard, and REALLY don't know what to choose anymore... all those different models of cards :(

* I'd like to order at http://www.funcomputer.de/default.php?page=shop&kat1=6 because they've got a lot of cards, shipping is cheap and their service is great . scroll around, and tell me what's best for it's money.

* the belgian pricewatch: http://www.prijswatch.be/cat.php?pg=toon&sort=prijs&cid=7

* I also might get an MSI ti 4400 vivo for 140€

I don't know what to choose anymore :shrug:

I would suggest:

a TI4200 based card if you can get it, as Ti4400's are old stock and no long produced, meaning they basically dont overclock for §§§§ on the core...

Radeon 9700np is great, too, if you can get one cheap enough.......

R9500/9700: nope, there are too many ppl in need of such cards. at our SG forums, someone asked for such a card in the 'Wanted!' forums. in no time me and three others replied: I would be interested too!

:(

guess I'll have to buy a new one, with warranty this time

that funcomputer place has a powercolor R9500 for $150. most likely it's not moddable.
