Pheh.. Nehalems are still on the horizon and they will be 4 cores when introduced.

Thanks for asking Bob! The move is completed. The computer room isnt going well, ran into the heat problem again but I'll work it out. Hopefully I wont need to turn on my portable ac unit. :)

Best advice I can offer you is those cheap 20" window fans.
Draw almost nothing for electric and if pointed at the machines dowonders for keeping temps down as the air just can't "sit"and build temps.
Seriously, try just one and see how it works..:up:

As to the cheese reference, Littleowl turned me onto some of the best stuff on the planet. Available here. (http://www.heinis.com/) I recently had 15 pounds sent out here. It worked out to about $6.53 a pound shipped. Quite reasonable for what you get....One of the best cheddars on the planet. The other types are very good too. Thanks Littleowl!! Mystic, has L.O. shared any of his pretzels with you?:D

I've posted this in the farm thread before, but here you go. This is a bit out of date now....

I now have the left rack about 2/3 filled and I run a few other rigs in the house. I found that with the power requirements, I had to run new dedicated circuits. The garage was the best place for it. The gear sitting on the cooler is a mass water cooler I detailed in another thread here. Just search "mass water cooler". The spot it's in will become a third rack, probably for Nehalems. I have a hankering to have 16 core machines in that rack.....I have some time to wait....I may have to cure the "DC itch" by filling out the left rack with skulltrails. I don't know yet.
