OK......I've got all three of these sitting and waiting for one to be purchased for the wife's computer.

Her new computer build will have the following hardware:

Asus Maximus Formula mb
Intel Q6600 cpu...and will be OC'd!
2 x 2GB Mushkin DDR2-1000 RAM
Asus 3870 video card
3 hd's
2 optical drives
will be watercooled w/DDC2 pump

Now, it may end up with a 3870 x2 video card in the near future.

As for the above mentioned power supplies.....the Quattro 850, Real Power 750, and Trio 650......bear in mind the prices for each......

Quattro 850.......$75

Real Power 750.....$54

Trio 650.........$48

One of these is going into this build......which would you pick up and use? Personally, the Trio really isn't in the running much......it's more the CM and Quattro units.

They seem fairly equal, except in the price I'm going to have to pay, and the $21 difference, while not substantial, is something to take into account.

take care about the antec quattro, its only works fine with g80 gpus and atis , if you think to use some day a g92 gpu it doesn't work !

yeah it doesn't work with G92s and certain motherboards. it is kinda hit or miss, i say get a corsair 750w or 620w and call it a day

Only the very first rev had issues, and you can RMA it if it does.

It was a problem with pull up timing.

The 850 and 1000 have issues with G80 8800GTX/Ultra's primarily.

Putting a resistor or some other load across the PCI-E connector might solve the issue..

That is a pretty dangerous suggestion.

You would need a very low resistance resistor to have any effect at all, and at that level if someone missed by a few ohms, or in the wattage rating, you could easily have a resistor shoot up to several hundred degrees.

.5w or 1w should be plenty. Maybe even just a cap (+/- resistor) might do the trick.
