Sound card problem!

Hey everyone. Randomly my x-fi card would not work when vista boots up. It shows no sound devices. Sometimes it works, and sometime it doesn't. I tried reinstalling sound drivers and it doesn't work. I am not sure why it stopped working. One day just randomly decides to not work. Anyone know what MAY be the problem? Thanks!

I had the same thing happen to me on 2 different soundblaster x-fi xtremegamer.
One day i start the computer and notice i had no sound and it was working fine few hours before.
I removed the card fromt he pci slot and put it back in and it worked again.
Make sure when pushing this card into the pci slots to be carefull not to put pressure on any of the components on this card.
If it does it aften i would just look into getting a new one.
