Hey there,

I got my CPU kit second hand, and was sent some Arctic Alumina in a white tube. I'm guessing that's what comes with the new CPU kits, but just wanted to make sure. I've been using ASIII instead, since AFAIK it's superior. However, I know that when you get down to subzero temperatures, thermal pastes tend to change their properties, so ASIII might suddenly become a really really bad idea. :)

Anyway, my point is - which (widely available; no nanotherm, please) thermal paste is best?

AS Céramique performs great, search the forums if you want some temp comparison charts or a link to a review

I like ceramique now. I always used AS3 but now I switched.

Ditto, ceramique works very well at low temps much better than AS3

Geez! One person say's Ceramiquie doesn't work well another say's it's da bomb....

I think it's in the application. To be honest I was running an AMD at 3Ghz with AS3. So Ceramique would've been how much better..

I think ceramique sucks, i have better temps with as3 in the prommy than with ceramique!

I think the main advantage the Cerimique has over the AS3 is that it doesn't require any cure time, AS3 may never cure at freezing temps.

The review I have seen testing with sub zero temps definetly gives the Cerimique a significant advantage over the AS3, the only thing that performed better was the OCZ stuff and only buy 1c at idle. The review is here: http://www.thecrucible.ca/reviews/thermal/index.php

He doesn't know what he's missing does he Scott !

I'm going to use Nanotherm blue II on my new cpu and promie, hopefully I'll have some good results to report compared to Cerimique and AS3 this weekend.

Major Slaughter,

No, I don't think he does. Oh, well. BTW, let me know how the testing works out on your Prommie.
