Hmm, having ghosted here for months I thought I should finally register. Having finally got an account I immediately find I have a problem, typical.
The problem is an Antec Quatro 1000W PSU I recently bought to power the following system:
E6600
Abit IN9 32x-MAX
2* 8800GTS 640mb SLI
Unfortunately, the unit makes a hell of a noise (contrary to the reviews I read claiming it was practically silent). It single handily drowns out the 10 or so fans I have, plus the two graphics cards, and any music games or films I happen to be playing at the time.
Does anyone have any experience with these PSUs, is this level of noise normal?
Either way, is there anything I could do about it?
My previous PSU was an Antec NeoHE 550W (before adding the second card to SLi) which was completely inaudible.
