Had the flu last weekend, started friday which kept me from work (couldn't keep breakfast down too easily), didn't let up until Sunday, went back to work Monday but very limited. Couple days later had an ear infection from it which hurt really bad.

Yeah this bug is going around. Wonderful time of year. Oh, and flu shots aren't worth it IMO, classmate got one and got the flu a week or so later anyway

Hope you and the rest get well soon.

Recently had a flu, not much fun at all.
Worst part about being sick for 4 days is when your work doesn't believe ya :P

I have not had yet either. I got a flu shot, however what I have been seeing on TV they missed some strains in the shot this year....

I've never had a flu shot and i've only gotten it 2-3 times in my lifetime. I don't get sick often, but it really s**ks when i do.......

There are usually at least three strains of influenza "going around" during "Flu Season". If you get it once, don't think you'll not get it again in the next couple of weeks...chances are greater you will get it again as you immune system will be partially weakened.

Having kids, you'll run into the flu very often. Sometimes it will affect only one mbr of your family, sometimes all...

Last two times it ran through our house(I have 2 school-aged kids..avoiding the flu is near impossible), the first time it affected all males, the second time females. We tend to get it right around the onset of flu season, fortunately...it always seems much worse near the tail end of the season.

Flu shots are a waste of time...I tend to get sicker when I get one...however I have not missed one in a few years...they recommend that any parents or people in contact with young babies get the shot...the strain will be managable at that point, and the shot will hopefully prevent worse symptoms. I mean really...you get injected with the strain, non-active, but that doesn't mean it won't activate once in your system...

Just make sure your Son stays hydrated...that's the worst part, as little kids don't know when they are dehydrated, and hence the concern. It's hard, but the best you can do is ensure that he's comfortable.

Uggh, had the flu some weeks ago, puked all day for five days, nice. The thing with the flu (atleast in Norway) this year, you can catch it multiple times.arrgh.
So here we go again, atleast im not puking this time around, only fever, sore throat and a ear infection? Well, all of you guys, get well soon. Do anybody know if cognac helps? Im willing to give it a try, lol!

Had it all last week. Sucked. Especially the explosive diarrhea. I nearly blew all the water out of the bowl on one shot.

LOL! I hope you didn't have to clean afterward :p:

I rarely catch the flew... My mum and my sister have it every now and then, but the dad and I never get ill... We only suffer from migraines
