Ive been designing a rig for some time now, around $3000 budget, and have always planned to go with an 1000w X3. Is this a good choice? Ive read someones post saying X3's are really bad or something.
If the X3 is no good, what other PSU would you suggest for my rig. Looking for 800w-1000w of power.
Thanks

Oh thats good to hear, there great priced too.
Im just going off what this guy said in another thread:
"Uh yeah maybe try another PSU maybe? PC P&C, Seasonic, Enermax, or another High Quality PSU... build of gaming rig = > $3000 ~ ... having a Ultra PSU take it out = Priceless"

Johnny Guru knows his stuff, I'd take his word over some random in a tech forum :)

They've only released one that bad - the original Youngyear built X-Connect. Although, I've never been all that fond of the Wintech built units like the X2 750W that failed over at HardOCP either.

The X3's are OEM Andyson - those folks know what they're doing.

Thanks... but I didn't write that review. ;) That said, the X3's are still good PSU's.
