To be honest here, the 45nm's seem very fragile compared to 65nm cpu's in regards to voltages. I would allow you to use my QX 9650 if I were there but to mail it off and allow someone else to use it while I sat at home worrying would kill me...:yepp:

I would meet you somewhere and bench along side you and share hardware. and I would be willing to mail a e6600 which can do 600+ fsb if needed.

Thanks...but need a QX9650 to get to where I want to go in 3D Mark 06. At -125c almost any 45nm Yorkie can handle 1.8 to 1.9 volts. Yes, they are more fragile than my Kentsfield. My chip is more raw...brute force....and the QX9650 are elegant and take a bit more finesse to get you to where you need to be.

If I fried your cpu, I'd replace it with one that clocked better...at my expense. IAF I have never hurt a cpu in 10+ years of benching.....
