Hey, i have no clue how to solve this problem, and here is the full deal;

I installed a few new components in my computer, which are;

Soundcard: High Definition Audio: SupremeFX 2 Audio Card.
screen card: XFX GeForce 8800GTS 650M 512MB GDDR3, PCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI/HDTV/HDCP,650Mhz
RAM: Corsair Value S. PC5300 DDR2 1024MB x4
Prosessor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz Socket LGA775, 8MB, BOXED w/fan
Motherboard: Asus P5E, X38, Socket-775, DDR2, ATX, Firewire, GbLAN, 2xPCI-Ex(2.0)x16

So, whenever i play a sound from the computer (Through either speakers or headphones ) i have a very high chance for getting a buzzing background noise. According to my research, there is no driver for the soundcard, SupremeFX 2. And the other drivers are top notch.

Anyone have any clue what might cause this interference?

Regards, Vlad.

Mute all the inputs on the soundcard....sometimes if they are left "floating" they pick up noise from the Mobo..might help.

Normally that sound is synced with the Windows system so go to the Control Panel. In the "System Trey" in the lower left corner of your display, look for the little Speaker. Right Click it. Select "Open Volume Control" and open it. Put check marks in the Mic In, Line In, Aux In and anything else except WAV (you need) and Midi (no effect). Click the advanced tab to see all of the options for both Playback and Record.

I don't entirely follow but anyway, my father tryed to mess around with that and still the buzzing sound ;<. I run a 5.1 speaker system, and i can't hear sounds from the internet ( Youtube etc) through speakers, only headphones. My plugs should be by the book, double checked them..

(btw, i run a norwegian windows, and i don't quite follow where you are opening volume control. I know one place in control panel which will allow me to alter volume settings etc, but i can't find where the WAV and Midi checks are ect. )

You can't follow because I can't lead you in doing something I don't know anything about. I don't know what the Norwegian version of windows looks like or your words for the App/Folder I asked you to open. Sorry, we have to find another Norwegian to help you:D

It's the In Put Devices that's causing your problems, mute them. In many cases the Hum/Buzzing and etc.. will stop.

If you don't have the speaker, go to Start Button--->Control Panel--->Sounds and Audio Deivces-->Properties and then select the Advanced If there's a translation for Norwegian, try it?

the wierd thing is that i don't have any problems with the sound over ventrilo, music etc etc. but the noise is still there when someone logs on msn for instance, or when i scroll down on an internet page with animations. /ponder...

EDIT:
The noise is still there, but somehow alittle improved. I can play internet sounds ( Youtube etc) without the noise, but when i launch a game( Wow ), the sound comes and everything get messed up again.

Your problem may be the dreaded Snap Crackle Pop that folks had problems with. Go to Creative's forums and look there for answers?

You have been great help allready ;) Thank you yet again.
After reading more on the creative forums, i can safely say that it sounds very much alike the SCP problem. Right now tho, i have no clue how to potentially fix this tho, still trying to learn more about this but can't grasp what really too do.

Some folks have fixed their problems by removing some of their USB devices. I saw folks have problems with USB Web Cams, Mice and in one rare case, a wireless Keyboard. In most case an updated BIOS flash fixed this for a lot of users.

@Vlad, have you considered getting a good add-in soundcard?

Do you mean un-pluging the USB devices or removing their connection to the motherboard? Elaborate on the BIOS flash, because i feel like a baby when it comes to understand all the computer language and parts. I know the basics, but only barely ;)

@ROB, since this soundcard came with the motherboard, i'm looking for other reasons for this problem.

An update;

For my instance, when i launch WoW, i do not get the sound interference before i enter a highly populated area( Citys etc ). and only very small hints of the sound outside of these areas. Any explaination on why this only occour at those places? At log-in screen i have perfect sound. And when i exit these areas and try talking with ppl on vent, i have 20% of the time a buzzing sound on their voice, but they say they can hear me clearly.

Just un-plugging the devices:) Sorry I can't help you with WOW, I don't play it.
