Have a Antec Quattro 850W, know to have issues with G92 cores and also dont like fact it only has 80mm fan that gets loud after gamming no wonder its the only fan cooling the PSU!!

Looking to get airflow/noise levels better... so large fan on underside of PSU will greatly help reduce temps and noise!

Contendors:

Zalman 1000-HP (1000W)

Enermax Galaxy (1000W)

Both long PSU's with 14Cm fans, Enermax is considerably more expensive 30-40% more my question is the quality on the unit justify's cost over Zalman unit? Enermax PSU is old been out since early 2006! whereas Zalman unit is newer tech and uses heatpipes and low noise fans!!

I think Zalman but can any one sway me otherwise?

The Zalman isn't really "newer tech." In fact, it's the same as the Antec True Power Quattro and Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1000W units except for the addition of the heat pipes and radiator. All are based on the Enhance ENP-6610.

They've improved a whole lot since the days they used Sirtec as an OEM. The Toughpower 1kW+ design is one of the better designs on the market. Corsair's getting set to use that platform too in the near future.
