maybe i just wasn't paying attention before, but i could have sworn my framerate almost never dipped below 60 fps with my dual Radeon 3870's in this game before (multiplayer). now it's dipping into the 40's when i get in firefights and hold the trigger down. anyone else with 3870 CrossFire and coD4? if so, what are your settings & rez, and what's your framerate like? my settings are:
1680x1050
4x AA, 4x AF
Water Detail Low
No Soften Smoke
all other settings to max
i am 99% sure my framerate would only go into the high 50's when i was running through thick smoke and shooting before - now it goes into the 40's when i hold the trigger and shoot at the grass.
