Ive got a bit of a tempermental water pump in my system and a couple of times i have had water boiling in the pipes

Im looking for a temp monitoring program that can startup with windows and shut windows down if the graphics card start overheating ie water pump stoppe again

Im running 8800gt in sli on an nvidia 680i motherboard

In the nvidia control panel i can set it to play alarm music and pop up a warning on screen but not actually shut down windows which is what i would need if i am to ever leave the computer un-attended

Ive tried speedfan , hwmonitor and cpucool but none of them can shut the computer down as far as i can tell

i wanted to know this as well but no program seems to do it

only boards that can do this are Abit ones with uGuru chips :(

it would be nice to just get some software to do it....just don't see how hard it can really be :(

I wonder if Nvidias upcoming ESA software/hardware platform will be able to do this?

Speedfan works. Just add an event and use your shutdown program of choice:

This works great with both those programs - speedfan and shutdown now

Took a bit of setting up but i tested to the extreme by literally pulling the plug to my waterpump whilst the machine was on and watched the gpu temps slowly ride until the alarm kicked in and booted up shutdown now which then shut the machine down

great stuff thanks
