Im building a my first rig and was simply going to settle for the built in sound. But instead, Im looking for a cheap, good sound card, under like 60 bucks or something. What do ya got for me?

Will it be mainly used for Games or Entertainment like Movies and Music? It is much easier to buy a HTPC Card than Gamer card.

TBH 60 bucks really wont get you anywhere. invest in a good motherboard with 7.1 HD audio and a good cpu and it will pretty much compete against anything around the $60 mark

edit: the realtek ac880's are pretty remarkable. not to mention they go through more updates than creative, so they really try to get things right. also, i believe that chip attempts to take the workload off the cpu, so it's basically doing a soundcards job
