v1.60
-----
Applied an incrementative function to the version signifier to invoke an implication of a
significant change implied through the changing of the minor number in the version signifier.
I changed the version number...
Cool! ;)

Haha!...he's having a bit of a giggle at that.
Why is there no version that doesn't need .dot net runtime?

Why is there no version that doesn't need .dot net runtime?
Because the program was written with .NET SDK. ALl the versions will need .NET runtime as long as the program relies on .NET. Well, thats sad but thats how Microsoft works. :(

No, that's how programming works. It is no different than requiring the Java runtime if the application was written in Java. ;)

Man, can't there be any benchmark for Linux? Would be great! Even greater if it produced slightly better results. :D Would make things interesting. Would you go for higher MHz or better OS? ;)
Why are the versions so inconsistent?
v1.54 was slower than v1.55. Almost 2-3 seconds difference.
v1.60 is much slower than v1.55. Almost 7 seconds slower.

well... in v1.55 scrshot CPU is running over 4 GHz, and in v1.60 scrshot CPU is @ 3.6GHz...

Speed difference between versions? What is the idea behind this? Think about HWBot for example, if old results are valid. NOT like this, not at all! :(
well... in v1.55 scrshot CPU is running over 4 GHz, and in v1.60 scrshot CPU is @ 3.6GHz...No. I gave the CPUZ to show the speeds for both, they were run at the same time. wPrime doesn't pick up the speeds and most of the details properly. 450x8, and it only recognizes multi in one. The program has big variance and isn't consistent from one version to another.

So, in other words the CPU-Z engine integration doesn't work properly? Ditch it and port the program for Linux!
It get's stuck at gathering the details with cpuz at 100% on core#0 many many times, so yeah, not very bug free. SuperPrime has the best CPUZ integration I've seen, if only HyperPi could have it in the same way. :(
.Net?
:banana::banana::banana::banana:no :(

will you be releasing a linux version in source code so we can compile it for linux?

I know that ;) I ask for non .net version cause stripped down/benchmark OS have problems installing .NET runtime because it needs certain services (that might be excluded) to be active

I did notice a difference in speed between 1.55 and 1.60 with same clocks. I run 220x15 solid. Comes in about 27-28s on 1.55 (assuming I can make it work if CPU-Z doesnt throw up on it) and in 1.60 it comes in at about 40-42 for the 32m test.
Cant post screenies atm as at work.

It could be compiled for MONO...that is the Linux version of the .NET Framework.

wPrime doesn't need .net (I don't even install the damn thing)

It wasn't written using .Net - It's designed to be as portable as possible (on the windows platform at least). Dependencies packed in (only CPUz now), everything else it uses comes with Win98 SE.
The hwbot version is still v1.55. Always use the 'Latest stable build' for hwbot. The stable builds are designed to be consistant with each other. The latest builds won't be migrated as such until they've been determined to be consistant in performance.
The problem is I've been having my compiler optimize the code. This results in slight variances in performance between versions. v1.60 removes this optimizer completely (and as a result much slower - but will remove this variance in all future versions). I'm working on speeding it up at the moment (manually).
Yeah 1.60 is terribly slow, which caused me hours of frustration on Skulltrail till i realised
Looks like you got here before me Walter. Thanks. ;)
