ok so this is my problem, i have a 850w antec PSU that works fine except with cards that use G92 cores. seeing as i have one and my temp PSU is giving out on me i am wondering what i should do.

i already contacted antec and they said that they will have a fix in the next revision but no data on when the revision will be out. should i just tough it out till they get a revision or try to sell my PSU on ebay to recoup some of my money and buy a 750 PC power & cooling or corsair PSU.

thank you in advance for any advice you guys can give me. also any recommendations on a PSU would be great, i would like modular and the ability to monitor power usage.

that is what i thought but it seems to be hit or miss with them and a few other PSUs. right now i am looking at a corsair 750w.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006 it is either this or the 750w PC power and cooling right now unless anyone has any recommendations

Dont quote me on this. However I read another thread on a different forum that the OP had problems with the Rev1 of the 850. He contacted Antec and eventually got a Rev2/3? (unsure of which) but everything was fine afterwords. I will look for the post.

mine is a rev3, i just went ahead and ordered the corsair. i will RMA the antec one when a new rev is out, then i might sell it to my cousin for his rig since i'd rather not rip apart my rig anymore times than i have to

What sort of problems are you having?

i kept getting an error from the nvidia control panel saying it is not receiving enough power, i have tried everything i could and eventually replaced the PSU with a spare 550w ultra which is now dying. i'd rather spend $160 now than risk having $1000 or so in parts being fried from a crappy PSU.

i have another machine that i will probably hook up the antec to and use it as a mass-storage machine

Known compat issue between certain PSU's (that Antec included), certain motherboards and the G92 cards.
