I was wondering you know, with all the members here on XS and the opportunities and possible sponsorship available, why isn't there an established competitive team? Obviously picking the right game is a crucial decision. Still I am a little confused as to why such a huge community does not have competitive gaming teams.
Discuss.

Sounds and looks easy? I have run this org for about 4 years. I am here to tell you it is not. If you have thoughts to help with this i would be greatful. Come on by our vent and lets talk.

Well it does take some time to build a team from scratch and get team chemistry going. The thing is though, your gaming community is split up between a lot of games. You need to pick a game like counter strike or TF2 possibly (decent competitive play although public servers are much more fun ;) ) and concentrate on picking up players just for that game, players with competitive experience. Picking up just some random people who play the game for fun, yes that helps the gaming community, but on the competitive side it will make things harder. I understand it's not easy to run things, but each individiual game should have its own leader. I myself have barely any free time because of school and work, so I understand your point.
I'll hop by vent today, not working weeeeee ;)
P.S. I think we gotta get that TF2 server filled up :) and get regular users.

FUGGER is part of the [cTx] team but SGT.Viper is the founder and clan leader.

I agree, you just got to take the time and the initiative to start up that team. Its good that you want to do that, I would also defiantly join when I get my parallel operating system going. I loved counterstrike and I am a avid gamer:clap:

I like Battlefield but thats my preference. Fear works.... um... hmm... never played CS though... ;)

If I may be so bold to say that the clans website looks like a ticker for XS. Too much hardware talk...not enough game talk.
In no way do I mean that as an insult. My clan has seen many highs and lows through the years, but if we learned one thing along that long and winding road...keep the site stoked for gaming.

Well I will defiantly take your suggestion, i agree our website needs some help and that is something we are addressing. Macs are great for web design. Thanks for your concern.

Never had another name. Has All ways been [cTx]SGT.Viper on this forum, and for years prior.
so this team was around before you joined the forum and yall just changed the name to match xs? or was it named that and you guys joined xs and decided to make it the official team?

The clan was always named Clan Team Xtreme inc. so it just fit like a glove when the two came together.
crazy, there was always talk about an XS team that never surfaced, i come back and you guys gotta team. that hurts my FILLINGS. well maybe not, i played css the otherday and could hardly hold a 20 to 4 ratio in a pub :( i'll get poontid in a real server.

thinking about it freals. just a tad stretched, between the job three bands and the upcoming race season its gonna be real difficult to be competitive. i'll have just coupla hours a week to practice, not really winning numbers. soon as all the snow melts and i quit skiing every weekend it's a likelihood i'll give it a shot.
