NyC - did you find a work around for this problem yet? Do you have USB enabled ok in the bios? Let me know thanks.

Look here for the chip controler download http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16397&highlight=mach.
I had that problem after installing front display and this solved it. Instructions for firmware are in the back of the manual.

Make sure to look at the usb pin out for the mobo. I think if you have the usb connector reversed it will cause this also.

Good to see it is working now. BTW what do you use to get your screen shots?

Great NyC - glad to hear it, will be doing some configuration on my rig very soon hopefully (bowman is making good progress!).

Once you've extracted the .ste file, how do you upgrade the firmware once everything is ready to go? Figure it's an easy process (bowman has the service manual with my rig so just wondered in advance, thanks!).

being as dumb as myself, i thought all files were one-click installers. but i tried out bootloader.exe in the Prometeia Folder and pressed Bootload and opened up the .ste file into it, nad it started to upgrade it. Veyr easy!

Cool - thanks man. I figured it had to be pretty simple...and glad it worked out. I'll need the USB headers to work, since no serial or parallel ports (now I have to buy another frikkin UPS that works via USB instead of serial port connection). I have an APC BackUPS 650 now & will need to upgrade to an APC Backup Pro unit of some kind, once I scrape up more cashola.
