Looking for modder's mesh, but aluminum instead of steel. Know of any sources? The front of the case is very small, so a 11"*7" sheet is large enough to cover it with some left over.

My case is nearing completion, I just need a front panel (made pretty much entirely out of mesh), hard dive mounts, and a paint job. Pics when done.

Depends where you are. I found some sources near Seattle that I am going to check out when I need larger quantiles than I could get reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, I think I bookmarked the link on my other computer...which I have off right now.

Google "Perforated Aluminum" as a place to start. You want a place that supplies sheet metal and such wondrous things.

Here is an example of wht you might want to look for. http://www.mechanicalmetals.com/perforatedmetals.html

Here's where I go to

http://www.mnpctech.com/moddersmesh.html

They have a 12" x 12" (1 foot x 1 foot) sheet for $6.99 plus what ever S&H is to your place.

Oops, sorry.....failed to see you wanted aluminum instead of steel. I thought the modders mesh from MNPCTECH was aluminum.....my bad.

It's a bit larger than you need an a bit more expensive than most standard meshes but AC Ryan MeshX panels are made from aluminum, but they only come in 500mmx500mm. Link (http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g43/c12/s450/list/p1/Case_Parts-OEM-Misc_Case_Parts-Modders_Mesh_Panels-Page1.html)

Aside from the large size (and associated price), that's exactly what I'm looking for :)

You can also use cheap desk in-box/organizer shelves from Target. They have both black and silver...I know it's not ideal, but it's cheap and it might be what you need. I used them after cutting large holes in the sides and top of a shuttle case to make it breathe better.

http://www.mcmaster.com/

They carry 36"x40" sheets in multiple thicknesses and hole sizes/shapes. Prices aren't the best, but they ship quickly.

you may pay more for the ac-ryan mesh, but it has one big advantage over the mnpctech mesh.it is already painted black,or in silver.
i have purchased both kinds.
mnpc mesh has to be painted,or if you want it left as is,you will be oiling it from time to time
