Hi

I currently have two 3870s, and I'm not very happy with how crossfire performs, to be honest. I was thinkin of getting a HD3870X2, but I don't really know if my PSU can handle this? I read that two 3870s use less power than one 3870X2.

I have a TX650W Corsair PSU.
I run Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz, 4gb ram at 800mhz, 4 harddisks and a small external water cooling solution (corsair nautilus 500).

Think my 650w corsair will stall if i change the 3870s for a 3870x2?

See the @ load chart on this review. About 23 more watts than HD3870s in x-fire. Your system with the extra RAM, nautilus, 4HDDs, and oc'd Q6600 would add about 175w to their 357w, given you about 525w peak. So, you should be fine with your Corsair 650w psu.

ull be fine with the tx650, the x2 uses 20-35W more on peak than 2x 3870
