I just picked up an XFX 780i board is this board worse than the evga version? It dosent say A1 or anything like that it just says 1.2v

Can you use the EVGA BIOS on the XFX Board? Probably a n00b question, but XFX does have the double lifetime warranty which makes them better than EVGA IMO.

Probably, but I wouldn't risk it. Actually, I wouldn't of bought that board to begin with :-p

Well, I've heard of at least one person successfully using an XFX BIOS On his EVGA board so I think It could possibly work... wouldn't want to be the first to try... I don't have a spare board here to hotflash with :yepp:

well unlike EVGA if you sell your video card, the new owner can register it...with EVGA you are screwed if you buy a used card/motherboard and it blows up. :down:
