i think that u should get teh cell shock, they use micron gtr and an 8 layer pcb as well as have high test standards before they leave they are even cheaper since they dont jack the price up

here $420 http://www.tankguys.com/product_info.php?cPath=46_192&products_id=1774

for hard drive look at 2x samsung 500GB, i have them they are great

for grafix look at the 3870 x2 or 2x 3870, buying an NV card other than an ultra is a wast of money but the 3870 x2 is about 5% faster and its $400-500 so its much cheaper

for PSU i like the corsair 750tx i have it its great if u want something bigger make sure that its rated @ 50C and not 40C or 30C

cell shock seems to be the way to go its $100 dollors cheaper and made out of a better parts?

I was looking only to go only NV, but i was comparing 8800 ultra to 3870 x2 and the 3870 x2 seems to be better?

3870 x2
higher clock
1 gig compared to 768
more steam processors

but when are the new NV cards going to be released?

what about mobos, can anyone tell me when the new 790i, x48, and p45 sets will be out?

For that much money you could do better. You aren't going to need all of those crazy extreme parts. If you want to put some time into, I would watercool all of that stuff with nice parts and grab 4gb of ram.

Unless of course you're benching, then go all out my friend.

I can just comment on the case and psu:)
i would defenetly go for the ultra PS and for a case i would look into the tj09 and tj10.
i have a tj09 and its a great case , good build quality and was one of the easyest case for me to work in.
also for a good PS u can look at the etasis 850W.

My plans for that lian li are cut 3 120mm fan holes in the top or bottom, or maybe even in the middle section(what do u think) for a 3 120mm fan rad like this guy did - http://www.diy-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61324&page=6 (look at post #114)

Also i do not like the window that comes with the lian li too much, are there aother versions of windows i can buy or would i have to custom make one, and how much would that cost?

as for ram instead of ddr3 i guess i could get :

4gb of CORSAIR Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
or
cell shock

what would the diff be between 1066, 1200, 1333?

If this is your FIRST build I would look for a good DDR2 motherboard and DDR2 ram, save yourself a boatload of money and put it toward a a better case, water cooling set up and a great GrafX card.

With the minimal gains that you get from A DDR3 setup that you will never notice but pay for with Maximus cash........you will have so much more flexibility for your other components .

That what I would do if it was my FIRST build.

look at this its 1ghz 2x1gb kit for $70
http://www.tankguys.com/product_info.php?cPath=46_144_176&products_id=1809

and board dfi x38 its the best ddr2 board
http://www.ncixus.com/products/27482/LanParty%20LT%20X38-T2R/DFI/

when u look at the speeds u basically need to consider what will give u the best oc for your cpu so micron gmh will give u 1200mhz easy and that lets u use a 600mhz core fsb and thats more than enough

also never get corsair, unless u get a good deal in person for ddr2 so u can make sure that its rated for 2.2V the 1.9-2.1 rated sticks are trash in comparison since they use promos or qibmona

See some great choices, you will be very happy with the DFI LP LT X38-T2R X38 Motherboard plus some nice Micron DDR2 ram, then you get the 3780x2 ATI's cutting Edge GraFX card and your rocking the house
