Hello! I have a big problem. Today I have mount my new computer, but when I press the power/ON button to run the computer, it doesn't make anything. The ventilators are stop, like the computer were switch off.

I have connected the power supply of 24 pins at ATX in the motherboard, and I have connected too the 4 pins in the ATX 12v. I also connected de Power SW in the f_panel in the motherboard. This should able the computer to switch it on I think.

Perhaps I forgot to connect something more? Or what do you think could be the problem?
The computer is new, so probably is something that I'm wrong

Please I need really help. The computer is Q6600 (G0) - P35C-DS3R - A-DATA EXTREME CL4 - BFG 8800 GTS 512MB - TR ULTRA 120 EXTREME - CORSAIR VX550W - NZXT ALPHA

The power supply works well, I made a test and it's ok.

What probably origin the problem?

By the way, I put the Screwdriver where sould go the power_sw, to make a brigde. The computer should switch on? Because it didn't.

here are some basic things to check - don't mean to sound sarcastic - I've made all of these mistakes myself at least once.

1. check power supply switch is turned on - should be on back of psu near power cord in most cases.
2. check that voltage is set correctly - in other words, not 220/240 if you have 110/120 and not 110/120 if you have 220/240 from the wall outlet.
3. check that cpu is installed with correct orientation - arrow somewhere on cpu pc board should have an arrow and should line up with similar arrow on motherboard.
4. check that memory is installed in channel zero - if you're not using all 4 slots
5. check that memory cards are seated properly
6. check that fan for cpu is connected to correct connector on mobo

Also unplug all HDD's and other drives and any other peripherals except video of course.

All right, the problem was that the motherboard was in contact with the steel in the case. Thanks you anyway guys.
