Right now I am planning on picking up a Gateway 24" LCD hopefully for around 500$ or so. It has a 3ms response time, tons of different inputs, and hopefully I can find it for the right price

I mention this, because I don't think my current video card can handle games at that high of a resolution. So It follows that I need a new video card :)

I am just debating on whether to go for a Second GTO off of ebay for ~125 bucks, or to sell my current GTO and get a newer generation video card.

Keep in mind, that i don't plan on buy this video card for at least 2-3 months, so definately take new technologies into consideration. Will the 9-series Nvidia cards be out? My only worry is that my processor may become a bottlneck.

Either way, I am not looking to spend more than 150 dollars, and if i sell my current card I can probably get at tleast 100 dollars, so budget is around 250 dollars or so.

At that price point the 8800GT and 8800GTS 512 cards would be perfect. They handle everything today at 1920x1200 with smoothness. An ATI 3870 would also be good.

In 2-3 months though, who knows what the market will be like.
