Ive been looking all over the net for an answer to this problem. Over at the Abit forums no one had come up with a solution.
Anyway, I guess this happens on a lot of different Abit mobos. Ive got the Fatal1ty AN8-SLI. What happens is, after a few boots, the BIOS gives an error message saying that it is booting up in failsafe mode, and to F1 to continue booting. If you flash BIOS it goes away for a few boots, or if you clear CMOS it goes away for a few boots. But it always comes back.
It doesn't seem to effect performance, only turns the OTES fan settings back to default. I have them shut down till my case gets warm. I guess beyond that its just irritating.
Was hoping someone around here had figured out how to overcome it.
thanks
