I received it Wednesday the 23rd. Purchased from Buy.com
and I don't really atm..so I took my old P4, that was sitting in the corner, that was going to start crunching
put it in my new case, all my nice new yate loons, hooked everything up.
Last but not least I put my beautiful 620hx in.
Connected everything
and then nothing...
the P4 board is a 20pin, so I needed to detach the 4 pin to connect it..
and no fan going nothing..soo I get the old power supply that was powering it before, and just plug in the 20pin motherboard connector, and it powered up :/
am I missing something?
I sent a RMA request to buy.com..
take 10days
I hope there is a simple solution I am missing

Did you test the PSU? Did you short ground and on, test loads and measure voltage/current?

You cant measure current as easily as you can measure voltage.

Talk to the Corsair rep here before you do anything.
Yellowbeard: Smart guy and excellent knowledge.
Well worth your time and there maybe something simple you overlooked that he will think of..
Best of luck!

just wrap the PSU on it's own, you'll never get your retail box and all the cables back, happened to me before :(

#
• Corsair 620w SLI Certified Modular ATX Power Supply (sku not showing these numbers)
I guess that would be just the computer supply :/

If you end up shipping the PSU back, please send all the cables and accessories. Also, can you please send me a PM with your serial number and revision number. This info is on the sticker on the unit. Also, just as a test, read here:

What MOBO are you trying to use this PSU with?

I got your PM with the revision and serial number. Have you done the startup test I linked above? Also, do you see a sticker with the lot code on it? It should start with the year it was made and yours should begin with a 7 or 8, or 07 or 08 number.
What MOBO are you trying to use with this PSU?

Most likely, since the PSU works on the short test you have an older MOBO that is not compatible with the current ATX specifications. We'll replace the PSU for you if it is defective when you try it with the new gear, a 780i I am assuming?
