Tried my new E8200 on my g33m-ds2r mainboard. it´s rocks like hell, and this is on air (freezer 7 pro). next week I will buy some dice and let it go :D
In bios set 1.6V. Windows 1.52V idle / 1.488V load.

So your PC2-6400 is working now at 1200MHz? Or is that a wrong reading
It´s crucial ballistix PC2-8500 but the SPD shows them as PC2-6400.

I am confused. On Hardforum and posts on XS they say this board has no 1:1 divider and they make a big deal out of it. But you are showing a 1:1. Has this problem been rectified in a later BIOS release?

LOL. G33 mobo with E8300 1.52v can do 4.8 ghz and my E840 cant do 4.9 with less voltage LOL.
Very nice chip bro.
That mobo is giving the best of it for the price. And thats really bad vDroop :(

Agreed, vdroop is insane, but insane FSB at the same time! Can't wait for those DICE results, 625FSB, dare I say it? :D

crazy stuff, i guess some boards' default GTL ref volts are tuned to a particular voltage that 45nm wolfdales seems to like better than other board's GTL ref volts ?

olDirdey
01-27-2008, 02:55 AM
I can show you some 45nm quad results for this mainboard.
One of my QX9650 is able to to 4.6G with 1.44V on G33M. But max FSB is limited to 463MHz, with 464MHz no boot.

( i'll have a look to see how P35/X38 performs with Q9xxx )
Any scores for OC. E8200/E8400/E8500 in 3DM06?
olDirdey
01-27-2008, 03:08 AM
4.2g are Primestable on G33M with QX9650. Over I need to much voltage and then the board begins to get crazy. The voltage jumps up and down while priming.
With 1.54V and dice on one of the poorest X38 boards (asus p5e3) a little bit over 5g was possible.
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=293498
No 3D Scores yet with Dual Core CPU´s. Only used the Q9550 some times for some 3D action.

Thanks, got it. I saw some prices for upcoming PENRYN QC here in UK, too pricey in my opinion ( Q9550 = 300 quid ) that's why i was thinking to go for the DUALCORE...

I've tried my E8200 under 2stage. With my P35-DS4 Rev 1.1 Bios F11.
But there's a coldboot around -85° and colbug -95° :(
I take the same FSB on air. I've got no more mhz with cold.
I've tried on the P5K with bios 0801 and 0805 ,but it's not good.
I've got a bad chip ,i think. Q748A119 .
I take 4.5 Ghz with 1.46V and i pass Spi32M @4.4Ghz with only 1.44V.
I would like to try some others Wolfdale for find ,i hope the good chip.

Greetings!
I just don't know how you guys do it...I'm stuck @ 425FSB on a MSI P35 Platinum. Orthos stable @ 425FSB, 1.3 vcore and all the other voltages @ stock. But, when I get it higher, 440, with 1.4 vcore in bios, nb @ 1.45, sb @ 1.7 it won't just even boot...
Any ideeas? It should go higher than this lousy 425...

It's dual core vs quad core more than 45/65 that is probably the big difference there.

These clocks look incredible. I thought my q6600 @ 3.8ghz on water was decent. 4.0+ on 1.2v. I'm in love.
I was wondering, for the guys w/ the microATX boards...
G33M-DS2R vs G33M-S2L, any difference?
The DS2R is a deactivated item I believe. Would the S2L make a good OCer as well or could anyone advise me on a good microatx baord for the e8200/e8400? Also, are these just randomly awesome boards are were all those microATX boards that incredible FSB wise?
I was thinking 4.0ghz+ in a microatx case would be SWEET.

Nice clocks, but I wouldn't be running over 1.33v 24/7 on a 45nm Wolfdale.
