Anyone know if even later this year there will be one?
I thought i read somewhere there might be....probably just my imagination though...:p:

It's more than likely, especially with the (supposed) faulty temp sensors or the current line-up, Intel's got to do some QC for newer releases. It should probably happen sooner than later.

C-0 to C-1 stepping conversion:
• New SSPEC and MM numbers for the converting product
• CPUID will change from: 0x00010676 to: 0x00010677
• C-0 package is pin compatible with C-1 package
• There are no changes to Electrical, Mechanical and Thermal processor Specifications. Intel
anticipates no changes to customer platforms designed to Intel guidelines.

Will there be a Penryn Quad core with a multiplier of 9 that is not the extreme version?
