might be a dumb question, but i just dont know.
Will a GPU with a 2.0 Expressx16 interface work in a regular Expressx16 slot?

PCIe 2.0 is completely backwards compatible with PCIe v1.x. Graphic cards and motherboards designed for v2.0 will be able to work with v1.1 and v1.0, and vice versa.

I have no probs with my PCIe 2.0 HD3870 on my PCIe 1.0a P5W DH mobo.

This card - no. It could change the performance if the card was 2 times beefier, though.

absolutely no bottleneck. no single card can saturate a PCI-E 1.1 bus today. even the 3870 X2 can reach its full potential on a x16 PCI-E 1.1 slot.
