nice cold night here in alaska, about 15f or so.
not too cold to open a window for alittle benchmarking.
First some 4500 mhz stuff.

I know these 3D numbers are modest in comparison to what is normal around here, but I was looking more what I could get for some short term stability, not the big tweaking session tonight.
same with the PI stuff.
all this was bios only, no windows tricks.

nice going kunaak thanks for the info these e8400/e8500 are amazing, you are in alaska and i am in uk but we have no e8400/e8500 at all in uk yet just a few e8200 crazy that, what are the temps like in comparison with conroe at similar voltage, by the way nice aquamark score
thanks

If you quick Ocuk got some E8400's I've been up their today and collered 1, showed as available about 10 mins before I dashed out the door upto them :chuckle:
Could you test max fsb with 6x? :)

Same vcore on 1M? These new chips are lots of fun on any cooling.
Nice benching kunaak :toast:

Tweak your 32M m8 i'm beating you with ddr2 crappy ram with 32 seconds @ same CPU frequency:cool:
I'm almost sure, a little better E8400 paired with my poor Promos ddr2, would let me cross sub 10min barrier

Eclipse comuters also have e8400 but for much cheaper. ocuk £146 but eclipse is £126, received mine today:D
Very nice clocking CPU!
With 4725MHz you should be south of 10seconds 1m though.
What FPO# is yours?

Nice clockspeed! :) 535 MHz FSB is the same wall I hit with my E8400 ES on single stage. More volts didn't help me at all.

This is my current 24/7 with coolitfreezone elite
temps around 35-38 idle and load around 48-49C.
not going to go above 500 as i have crank up the nb and pll..
and that would cause the temps for NB to hit 60C!!!.. maybe when i go water..
but one comment...this procs compared my e6850 needs to adjust the NB and pll quite around 0.1v more for the equivalent fsb..

man theres alot of thread hijacking these days...
highest FSB so far is 565.
I didnt test the highest FSB + speed cause my board seems to have trouble booting with half multipliers and the 8 multiplier.
Kunaak: whats highest FSB you have 100% stable? And the same with clock speed?

oops sorry
i just wanna ask ..
hmm how much voltages did u pump for the NB and PLL??

Kunaak, will it play Crysis at 4500 mhz for at least an hour ambient room temp? Nice results btw, I'm gonna have to get one soon.

Could you test max fsb with 6x?
sure, I will give that more of a shot today.
Same vcore on 1M?
for the super high OC's I ran 1.6 volts.
What FPO# is yours?

whats highest FSB you have 100% stable? And the same with clock speed?
for the last day or so I havent put much effort into the FSB. I been running low voltage, and priming. trying to find the sweet spot for various voltages, and getting a feel of whats stable for daily stuff, and whats just benchmark stable.
so I dont have much to say about the highest FSB so far, other then the first time I booted it, it booted at 7 x 533, got into windows, then I realized the bios didnt clear from when I removed the E6300 I had been running.
I gamed at that speed for alittle while to get a feel if the 6 meg cache had any real effect on the game, since I had been running my E6300 at 7 x 533, and this CPU was already doing 7 x 533, I played hellgate london for about 2 hours like that, it worked fine.
but I obviously have some work to do finding the max stable FSB and such.
so far, all I can say is I booted a few times at 565 and 575, but nothing more. I havent really put much effort into that yet.
for me, maintaining any level of stability meant I had to run 55C or less.
I noticed quickly that 55C is right where the CPU got unstable at high OC's.
so it was tricky getting the 1M.
let it cool down, run it.
hmm how much voltages did u pump for the NB and PLL??
the NB I modded last week to get my DDR3 stable at 1900+ mhz when using 1T. the highest I got available at the moment is 1.86 volts with the mod as is.
I ran between 1.7 and 1.86, not for the CPU OC, but to keep the ram as stable as possible for the benchmarks.
CPU PLL voltage was max at 1.8.
I have yet to mod that, I will soon.
Kunaak, will it play Crysis at 4500 mhz for at least an hour ambient room temp?
I dont know, I didnt try it.
I would think, if your willing to run alittle more then 1.5 volts, then 4.5 with this CPU wouldnt be too hard to maintain stable.
if you can keep the load temps below 55C that is.
I'd say that is much easier to do with watercooling though.
though running 1.5 daily in these is kinda overboard.
you gotta remember, these are 1.1 volt CPU's.
running .4 volts above stock is risky.
not much different then if you take a normal 65 nm cpu with a stock voltage of 1.3 and ran 1.7 volts into it daily you would expect it to die easily.
people shouldnt treat these the same as a normal 65 nm chip. 1.4 volts or such should be the limit for now.
thats my limit for sure.
for now.
Thanks Kunaak! :)
45nm dies quicker with higher voltages, so the lower the better, yep.
55C or less is what I aim for in all my work and home systems since the Kenty's, so that's cool. ;)

heres a few quick test for highest FSB I can get from this CPU.
I am guessing some want this for finding the best batch info?
unfortunatly, seems my board here has a bit of trouble with higher FSB's.
it boots anything up to 570-ish.
but makes it into windows only up to 550-ish.
theres no particular reason I used the 7.5 multiplier, I just wanted to try something different.

What would u choose? E8400 or E8200? ´Cause on Germany forums E8400 on 4Ghz need more Vcore than E8200

and about the batch i got 2 e8500 week 45(A703) and three e8400 week 46(A332) and they are all good for 580fsb+ on air with X38 ,no problem to boot up @ 570 and some wolfies are(not all) prime stable but the funny thing is about my best mobo for fsb clocking, the Bitz Formula only reach 570 (unstable) and boot @ 550 is a no go.

sorry Kunaak !!! my bad :(
look, dont take me serious.
I get annoyed with thread crapping, which is why I rarely post in this area.
after the problem with your earlier thread, to see you come into my post, and appear to "thread crap", just seemed overly petty, when I as a mod, had to pull your thread just 2 minutes before.
you have a great processor, and great results.
I would like to see your results and such, but I did show you there was a issue you do need to address before you can repost those results.
this is a decent forum, and we do have standards here.
its fine and all to have girls for wallpaper and such, but theres a limit to what you can post here, as far as nudity and such.
please remember that when posting.
I am not getting on your case, I really trying not to.

Yes thats what i meant.
I'll have to get back to you later on that, I dont know those off the top of my head, as I am currently using this CPU.
I have been planning on hooking my board up to my single stage, or watercooling soon, so I will get those numbers soon.
(cant make up my mind what I want to try next)
