Hi

Today I moved my gtx from one of my pci-x slots to another. It booted up fine and like when I've done this before windows wants to reinstall the driver so I did then after I restarted and was greeted with a blank screen. The screen was blank and the fan on the card sounds like it speed up to 100%. Everything else is working because I can hear the windows startup sound.

Things I have tried:

Checked there were no bent pins on the cable.
Checked the cable was fully plugged into the monitor.

Then I tried using the dvi to vga adapter and plugging in an old monitor. It booted up fine with this config It asked for the driver again and I rebooted then the same thing happened (blank screen gpu fan at 100%). I plugged in the dvi monitor and there was no change still blank screen.

specs:
EVGA 680i 122-CK-NF68-A1
q6600
2GB G.SKILL DDR2-800
700w PSU

boot to windows safe mode, uninstall drvers then reboot and install drivers.

I fiddled with it for a while and got it to start and display a signal. I then reinstalled the drivers and now it wont start again.

So I called evga and they told me to RMA the motherboard so I did.
