I plan on doing my first vmod (mem and core) on my 9800 non pro but i need a little assistance first.

Where can i get the 10k ohm vr online along with some smd grabbers?...I cant find anything around town.

Also...I want to use the grabbers so it isnt perminent and my soldering skills are less then desireable. Does ony one have pics of there 9800 mods using the smd grabbers?

i wouldnt use smd grabbers... ask somebody who knows how to solder to do it for you (electronic store)

the prob with soldering is if you f4ck it up its f4cked up and you cant get the solder off (sometimes, but thats more luck than skill :p: )

but on the other hand, if its soldered on it done, it wont move and it wont fall off or short anything. i dont trust smd grabbers for that. its done and it works, but 2 months later it opens and falls off or even worse shorts your card to death... havent used smd grabber so this fear might be unjustified...

the only reason i wanted to use the grabbers was i really dont want to run it 24/7 modded....I basically want to put it on, benchmark. then take it off.

Run your ground into a 3 pin fan header connector and you can just unplug the mod and leave it hanging without worrying about shorting anything out. I used the wire and header off an old 60mm fan and it stays locked in the header better. These work great for your voltage check points also. Just use a small drill bit to open the end of the header so the multi leads will go in.
