which one is better? I know nothing about sound cards, except that I was looking into buying a XtremeGamer soon...but do I really need to? check this out.....

I am using Asus P5B Deluxe onboard sound currently, ADI AD1988B 8-channel High Definition Audio CODEC

but I have a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 5.1 SB0090 w/1394, that I ripped out of my old system.

I also just purchased a pair of Klipsch Promedia 2.1 THX speakers, which are on the way....lemme know what you guys think..

So which is better? and is it worth the $100 to upgrade to a XtremeGamer?

Thanks guys.

The add-in card should be better. If the price is worth it to you then yeah it is worth it. You should notice a increase in sound quality over the Audigy, if you buy a X-Gamer. Good luck with your purchase.
