Just cut my side panel, went pretty well. Its not done yet, im cutting another rectangle under neath this one, slightly longer, and covering it with honey comb mesh. (currently out of stock :()
I need to get some rubber insert for the edges and 4 black bolts so i can mount the acrylic i have (only £2.50 :D)

I also need to clean the side panel, a lot of marks atm.
Comments?
Better than the side panel from coolermaster IMO
Any one know of a good way to secure acrylic to the panel ( preferably bolts, dont wanna use that strong tape from the youtube video :))

What I did to mount a window was drill and tap the plexi.
I put it in its location and clamped it down.then drill thru the panel and plexi with a 3/16th drill bit. then removed the plexi and tapped the holes 1/4"-20 .
Then drilled my steel side panel 5/16th. Got the rubber trim from Xoxide.
then used the thinnest weather stripping I could find and applied it to the plexi where it wouldn't show up when mounted to the panel .I used allen head 1/4-20 bolts and tightened with a allen wrench . Worked very well and doesn't allow internal noise escape.
Nice job on the window!

a jigsaw would be the fastest and cleanest way of cutting it. But a dremel should do too but it wont be as clean(a file can fix it) and is very time consuming.

I used a dremel for it, cos last time i used a jig i ruined a case with it.
The whole cut didnt take long at all with a dremel, its cuts very fast, its just swapping the discs around that takes some time
Took me no longer than half an hour.

did you use the side panel from the back side of the case, and if so why?

i think it lets him make better designs because the honeycomb mesh kinda gets in the way, atleast for me it was annoying as i had to make it bigger to get rid of the top honeycomb mesh

Yes i did, it gave me more freedom of what to design, the back side panel now looks weird, but i havemy pc that side against a wall.
Im going to do some more cuts to the back side panel, to allow the 800mm fan at the back intake cool and, and some mesh by the hdd cage for cool air to enter the case
