Thanks in advance,

The prob i am facing is this board will not take 2 sticks of ram. No matter what i do it locks up. So what i was thinking is i would get 2, 2gig sticks so that even if this board says no to multiple sticks i will have 2 gigs of ram on the board any way. Then when i update system in a month or so in i will have 4 gigs. Hope this made since.

I've got a set of the 2x2gb G.Skill PC2-8000 PQ sticks. They've been working pretty well for me.

What board do you have? I know that Ballitix's you have so if they aren't working then maybe try some GSkill's instead.

Get the 667 set. WAY higher binned (guaranteed D9GMH) and cheaper. :)

So, Corsair no good then?

It is ok. When you are not OCing most anything will work @ rated speeds ect. Just pick what you think looks good.

I would also recommend what Knight recommended. OCZ or G.Skill since they have better chips normally.

I have this in my HTPC rig CorsairXMS2 2x1 CL 4 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034)

That I can't get to run stable in an ASUS P5N-E SLI 650I board. I just think it's a compatibility issue, I've found threads discussing the problem. I'll let those go cheap and I'm in Ravenna.
