Im currently planning to do the following mods

1) X-Fi capacitor and op-amp mod
http://www.overclock.net/sound-cards-computer-audio/185072-incredible-x-fi-mod-will-void.html

2) Replace the R47 chokes on my Foxconn Mars with R70 chokes
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=171383&highlight=foxconn+mars

3) Add tantalum capacitors in parallel with the cpu capacitors on my Mars
http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/t275892.html

3) Foxconn Mars Vdroop mod
http://img214.imageshack.us/my.php?image=droophc6.jpg

4)8800GTS 512 vmem and vcore mod
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=168788

So..... I think ive got all the correct pieces that I need.

Op-amp:http://www.national.com/pf/LM/LM4562.html
(1kohm and 50kohm)Trimmers:http://www.rapidonline.com/productinfo.aspx?tier1=Electronic+Components&tier2=Resistors+%26+Potentiometer&tier3=Preset+Potentiometers&tier4=3%2f8in+multiturn+cermet+potentiometers&moduleno=65273
(330uf 2v) Tantalum capacitors:http://www.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail?name=495-1591-1-ND
(2200uf 16v) Black Gate capacitor: http://www.partsconnexion.com/catalog/CapacitorsElectrolytic.html

But I have a few questions before I start.
1) Where can I find the R70 chokes? I cant seem to find them anywhere!
2) Is that the correct trimmer that I should be using for the Vdroop/Vmem/Vcore mods
3) Where are some good places to get supplies? I know digikey is good but I have trouble navigating their site. And is there anywhere that would carry all of these things so I could just get it from one place?
4) Anything I should know before starting?

Thanks for the help everyone! And hopefully this can help other people too

Hahah yes, I have lots of bad memories from soldering.

I once reached over to grab my drink while soldering and grabbed the tip of the soldering iron instead. That was not good  my fingers were burnt just enough to make them white like cooked chicken

I don't know your location but in Canada this place is pretty good. Had all the supplies for my 8800GTX mods...

thanks 7499richard,

that looks like they have alot of stuff and I can actually find things on their site.
Im actually on the east cost of the United States, but it seems like they ship here so it shouldnt be a problem.

Does anyone happen to know the name for the R70 chokes. Its pretty difficult to find when all I know it by is the picture and that it's a choke that says R70 on it.

you try mouser.com ? they are a bit easier to navigate then digikey.

and there is http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ also

im sure mouser/digikey/fairchildsemi have it the problem is that I cant find it.

Im not exactly sure what it is im looking for since the actual name of it is not R70. And it doesnt help that nowhere has pictures. Maybe if I knew the inductance rating it would be easier to find

I think he killed his board, so it will be difficult for him to answer ... :p:

Well yeah, makes a lot of sense :D
I think it's always better to do 1-2 mods at a time. At least you can tell what went wrong.
