Hey Folks,

I got an ASUS Silent Knight (http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=16&l2=65&l3=0&l4=0&model=1828&modelmenu=1) that I cooled my Core 2 Duo with, and I'm thinking of upgrading to a Q6600. I'm not planning to overclock this thing, just to keep it running relatively cool while I save up for a Water Cooling solution for my entire rig. You think this will tie me over?

Thanks,
Mike

Just by the looks, it should out perform the stock Q6600 cooler by a huge margin.

It even says on the site that its quadcore compatible.

Nice! Thanks man. I figured it would work out ok. Just rather be safe than sorry. Don't wana spend $280 bucks for a processor just to have it fry on me!

actually running your cpu @ stock won't fry at all, the stock heatsink is good enough

this asus heatsink is not bad at all, search for review if you wish

it will be good enough to overclock ur cpu and reach 3.2~3.4 easily
