I have the HR-03 Plus Cooler that I was using on my 8800GTS 320MB.

The cooler is 100% exactly the same (dimensions have been checked) to the new HR-03 GT. The only difference is in the mounting bracket...which will not work.

Does anyone have any alternate method or secure way to either mod my current mounting bracket, or a different way to secure this cooler to my new 8800 GT?

I have indeed contacted Thermalright both via email (which they have not responded in 7 days) and via phone (she says they do not have replacement kits that they can provide, which I think is a load of crapola).

Please share any thoughts.

Thanks

Make a mounting bracket. If they don't make it, they don't.

A 3/16 piece of steel cut carefully and long screws would work?

However that would not prevent it from swaying back and forth even though it would be "held on". The way the thermaltake mount works is it "cups" the heatsink as well, so it stays in place and can't go from side to side from the slippery thermalpaste.

How could I prevent it from swaying?

Of course they make it. Thats what they do.

I actually spoke to a rep through their support department and he told me to email their sales department, which I have several times without response. He said that I should be warned that if they did send it to me it would be coming from taiwan.

Thermalright has terrible email support, and phone support tells you to email them. Not what I would expect from such a high quality product producing company :(
