congrats Tom Holck
I got my superpi 1m time down to 38s, need more vDIMM and vDD along with non-stock cooling on the northy if I'm gonna get anything better than this. I reckon 11x236 will get me 37s if the scaling works correctly.
12.0 x 216 = 39s
11.5 x 226 = 38s
11.0 x 236 = ??s

No matter what vCore above 2.2v I set, it freezes either in windows or on boot. I think the mosfets or vregs aren't upto it though cause it only reads 2.15v idle, 2.09v load.
not bad for a silent pc with a cooling setup that's not designed to perform :) (3/8" OD tubing)

Hi Tom. Was your benchmark run on Windows 2003 64-bit server? And would you get a worse or better run on any other 32-bit windows version?
http://digilander.libero.it/daneviz/barton%202500/35b.JPG
vcore = 2.25v by bios, cooled by prommy :stick:
timings was 11222 if I remember well  :p:

Yes, the M32 was on win 2003 server AMD 64 bit. A little worse results on 2003 32 bit or XP or win2000. On the other hand can I go a little faster (3151mhz) on 32 bit in M32 ? My old record was
3133 Mhz in win-xp it was 26.26 same timings etc.
It seems like the 64 bit runs a lot hotter, but its fast in M32 as you can see.
In Pifast, M8 etc is XP the fastes for now. When properly set up, 2003 32 bit might be faster her.:toast:

If I run M32 at lets say 3152 at 2.112 volt for 15 min it stops.
If I reboot fast, then I see -32c in bios. In about 1 min it is back to -46/-47c . But it's only in 64 bit OS. In 32 bit 3152 Mhz +2 volt no temp drop.
konklusion -21/-38c is not sufficient:rolleyes:

-21c load not the best cooling, but it walks all over the mach II stock I have here. :) maybe Ill do LN2 one day soon.
I meant that going higher than -32 is clearly to high for 31xxMhz /64 bit speed on the FX. Then dryice cooling is not sufficient for proper cooling at that speed. We must use something better to go on. Costum Cascade, LN2 etc.
BTW agree with you March II stock is not for FX, it's to hot:p:

Apple G5 can do pi to the millionth place in a little over 12 seconds @ 2.0Ghz
But you are using different calculation program there right? So it cannot be compared at all.
I remember seeing certain PiFast version do 1M at less than 10sec with ~4G P4.
29sec at 4.6G? That seems a bit slow. I was able to go just below 30 at 4.41G. 4519MHz gave 28sec and 4650 would have been 27 - I only got to 4648 which gave the same 28 sec I got at 4519 already.

Because it has Dual Channel, and mems are very important for SuperPI.
Look at the FX-51 scores, they're better than the P4 ones.

Yeah. Most times the fsb is so low that it does not matter if 3gig with 200 to 215fsb or 2,8gig with 255 ;) (high fsb is the winner most of the time)

Yea sure is - the A64 of course is a lot better clock to clock.
But this chip is smoking for low CPU cost (~150€) and fast scoring :D

Hey guys.
I already managed a 33m 32M superpi bench before with an xp-barton 2500+ at 2,8+ but with my dfi lanparty b I am not able to break 40minutes
Could it be the servicepack 2 I am now using, before it was no.3 with win2k... ?
I always push my board hard with max timings and cpc on and cpu int aggressive... at 11x260 with maxed timings I only get around 40minutes and I wonder how it can be?

You must have the ram-timings better.
Can you improve mem-volt on the MOB?

The highest volt I can give the mem without a mod is 2.9v - But it does'nt matter.... I just bougt som KHX3200 BH5 and sold my A-data... So maybe i'm going to do a mod...

Just done
22.29 in SuperPiM32.
The Cascade can handle everything in 64 bit OS under 2 volt.
my highest OC under 2 volt is 3300.
Then the multi must be 14 (13 is to high to fastest timings)
Easy.
If I try higher than 2 volt It hold for about 20 minuts, then the Cascade gets hot.
I'm close to that point, where I can finish BEFORE its gets hot
;)
That like "Lucky Luke ":D

CO2 cooling could be the reason ;)

Yea agree, bias_hjorth,
I remember when everybody said that 1.8/1.85 was the max on the old P4. With cascade cooling sub -100c the best OC was close to 2 volt.
I have not tried Prescott yeat (FX-53 is better at this point, like a 6+Ghz Prescott!!*) but with sufficient cooling the Prescott can take volt, for sure.
*2400@3300x14 is like a FX-62:slobber:

6Ghz pressi should be a "tad" bit faster than a fx53 even at impressive 3300 :)
someone in germany feeds his 2.4er prescott with 1,75 with only mach2 and he gets an astonishing 4,4ghz super pi 1m time of 29 sec ;)

I think I will replace the CPU, it´s a bad clocker.
look in my sig.. 3.0E @ 4.35Ghz.. = 31sek. i ran 5:4 2-2-2-5, and winxp.
iam looking for a SL79A now.. the SL79L is a "bad" overclocker..
When I say bad i mean baaad. It sucked at watercooling doing 3.5-3.6 and it sucks at phase change doing only 38xx-39xx. Looking for a 2.8m0 now.

assuming the 3.4 would have a 133MHZ fsb that means the multi = 3400 / 133 = 25.56 :slobber: :slobber: :slobber:
that means a FSB of 200 = 5112MHZ!!! :slobber: :slobber:

But i think 60mhz clock / 16.5mhz fsb advantage is not enough to get 1 sec in superpi 1mb.
With desktop Barton 2500+ @ 2.63 Ghz (10.5x250) i can get 37 sec, SCREENSHOOT (http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/1701/2630mhz_superpi.jpg). 230mhz clock / 10mhz fsb advantage (2.86 ghz - 11x260) just give me 2 sec faster.

you turned off CPC?
nice clock for the cooling you provided. but all i need is 250fsb at similar cpu clock as yours to get 34sec....
i know you enabled everything when you ran sandra mem bench at those fsbs, but i suppose you had to disable goodies to get to 2.85'ish ghz? it seems so.
