i am considering to get some blue lights for my case.
i would like to be able to even hook them up to my sunbeam rhebous and to be able to change the brightness of it.

That would be cool if you are into lighting.
I try to keep my case as dim as possible though. It's too hard for me to sleep when my room is blue ;)

thats why i want to be able to use my fan controller on it

That will work fine. Some controllers even come with a fan to inverter converter to make it easy.
CCL tubes will increase the case temp a bit.

but which one looks better?
and do any of you have any favorite models/brands that tend to look better?
i am looking for a deeper/darker blue.

Actually I'm interested as well. For me its UV lighting though. I can actually get a ton of LEDs off ebay for cheap but then I have to wire them all up. The current UV CC's I have are kind of weak and 3 of them are really dim for some reason, they are no name brand lol.

leds are nice, but they don't light up your tubing if they are uv reactive

Thats the problem I am having.
let me find my post on my case.
you can see all the leds and how the blue uv frozen-cpu dye does not light up.
The green is tracerline (dye-light) green (tp-3900)
the fan on the rear is a yate loon led. The fan up top is an led light.
Also towards the front of the case where the micro-resevoirs are located, are 5 led lights. shining toward the back
Also, there are 4 led lights from the fan controller.
Notice how the blue uv dye in the tubing barely lights up.. ;(
It almost looks like it's clear winted with a slight blue tint.

strange so the UV green lights up but not the UV blue. I want to get good UV CC's because the one's I purchased suck, 3 of the tubes are very dim and I think dying.

i replaced UV cathodes with UV LED strips
the led strips are easier to mount since they dont need a power transformer box and they shine brighter as long as u have them pointed in the direction you want, they have a lighting angle of about 30-45 degrees
the UV blue looks better in person... the picture kinda blends the blue with the uv

Was the green/yellow liquid in tygon tubing aswell? Tygon does not let UV pass through it very well at ALL, so the uv liquid inside is not reactive unless you put an led on the inside of the tubing.
The UV light has to react with the liquid, so it has to reach the liquid for it to shine (from personal experience tygon restricts it from doing that). I like UV blue tubing :).
Or atleast this is what I have seen from personal experience.
This is a side by side comparison of UV tubing next to Tygon tubing and the UV cathode above it
The tube on the outside is tygon. It can be seen that it is more clear, but not as reactive. (You can even see the reactive uv tubing through the tygon which is not reacting)

Just did a quick test, put a highlighter tip into a piece of tygon 3603 I had and there was almost no difference, there was an ever so slight drop in brightness but almost not noticeable.

frozencpu and performancepcs have led strips encaesd in silicon gel but they are expensive bout $20 for a strip of 30
i got mine of ebay, they were bare but i shrinktubed them in clear tubing for protection, they were only ~$7 or so
i use primoflex tubing, they come pre-UV'ed in green and blue... the nice thing is that u wont have to worry bout the coolant that is inside (im using mct40 with has a green uv to it)

Yes, all the tubing is tygon

Ok so I talked to the guys at petra's about it and they are testing it as I type this. Coolbeans hehe. I got some highlighters to test out and they all fluoresce except purple and blue which aren't fluorescent. I like the orange look I have to say hehe.
