Why do they even bother with release dates? Everything to this point has gotten huge delays. Can't they just give a 'gets there when it gets there', allowing divorce rates and the amount of emo bands going down?

I finally had to sell my AMD rig as it was too long in the tooth. I really wanted to go AMD and had planned too, but also will not put up with what AMD has turned itself into. E8500 will be taking AMD's money.

There's the 3DRealms path, yes, but there's also the Blizzard path. Release it as is and attempt to convince us all thats how they wanted it to work all along; working as intended.
