hey guys,
my buddy has the monsoon 2 peltier cooling setup and the pelt just died.i have NEW in my closet a http://www.heatsinkfactory.com/enzotech-ultra-x-silent-cpu-cooler-p-16493.html and it says "Not compatible with most 680i based motherboards".has anyone had this cooler on a asus striker extreme mobo or got it to work?i think the problem with 680i mobos is the friggin crazy heatpipes all around the strikers in particular in the cpu area, bleh.only reason im asking here is i dont wanna go all the way over his house and try and fudge this on if it simply no matter what wont work.please give any input if possible please, hes stuck and must play cod4 on his new q6600 tonight, hehe:)

:) thank you in adnvance

It's going to be a tight fit, but i think it could if you point the heatpipes towards the Memory. But the Memory must be fit in the 2nd and 4th slot for that tho.

So that'll fit unless the memory got a huge heatsink on them ( Reapers for example ).

i think we can forget it on that note cause he has 4x1 gig sticks using the standerd height raM spreaders, but all 4 modules are full

Well, it's worth a try actually after taking a good look.

I can't say for sure though, but it might just actually fit.
