This was a crazy, yet awesome week for THL as Darklord, ANP and I were down in Banglore to meet RiO for some beer and offcourse it wont be fun without overclocking session. Numbers are not entirely impressive by XS standards but dats all we have to share for now. I was down with a fever and cold but managed to guzzle 3-4 cans of beer after the last OC session.

THE SETUP:
Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 - L627A872(on DICE)
Foxconn MARS [Beta G28] - Thanks Sham!
Crucial PC2-5300 10th Anniversary
80GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.7
OCZ 8800GTX (on Water)
OCZ GXS850
Custom DICE Container

Without further ado, here are the results from our overclocking sessions:
SuperPI 1M - 10.657s (X6800 @ 4744MHz | 2GB Crucial @ 527MHz 4-4-4-8)

3DMark06: 14,989 3dmarks (X6800 @ 4550MHz | OCZ 8800GTX @ 685/1050/1605)

This was "Absolute FUN"
That chip booted @ 4.8GHz but damn it was unstable in windows.
Finally, Pleasure to bench with Darky and RiO again

It was awesome fun for sure.
I am really impressed by the board, only thing is that i found it to be picky with memory.
It just refused to work with Cellshock PC2 8000 CL4 kit.
Did pretty well with Gskill HZ and Crucial anniversary kit.

There could be an issue with the P35 chipset and D9GKX IC's. Those same modules struggle with DFI P35's as well.

These new Foxconn boards are looking fantastic.

I like to see an old CPU like the X6800 benched again on a new mainboard!

And yes, according to the RAM List by R00n the 9136C5D use handpicked D9GMH ( B6-3 ).
