I currently have a evga 680i board and looking to get away from the RAM issues that I've been having. :(
I'm looking for a solid board to replace it with for less then $250. Mostly looking for hit 3.4+Ghz overclock and little headache. No future plans of SLI or anything either.

current set is:
E6600 air cooled (Tuniq Tower)
4GB of G.Skill (2 matched pairs)
8800GTS 460MB
a single SATA HD
and IDE DVD/CD drives

Thanks in advance.

Go for the Gigabyte or Abit P35 series boards.

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS4 Rev. 2.0 or ABIT IP35 Pro

Either of these sound like good option? happen to know about clearance issues with a Tuniq Tower?

I like the Gigabyte P35DS4 rev2, have build 5 so far 3 with quads running daily with gamers at only 333FSB but without any added voltage to the chipsets...I can only tell the thermalright ultra 120 and eXtreme, OCZ Vendetta and the 120mm version of the former (forget the firms name) work fine on those boards...
