Just last night i purchased 2 scythe s-flex 1600 rpm fans to put on the side of my coolermaster stacker case.
before i was using 2 Aerocool Turbine 2000, i find this schyte to be not that good? i was checking my inside temperature and my gpu temperature and i noticed a slight increase in temperature over the Aerocool Turbine 2000.
I slapped both my Aerocool Turbine 2000 back in the case =/
the Aerocool Turbine 2000 are very loud compared to ther schyte ones , at times they shake the side panel on my stacker lol.
But very dissapointed with the schyte fans =/

I'm not too happy with their s-flex series either, but their Kaze series is great, a tad loud, but what can you expect for 110cfm?

Slight increase?
Was it worth the rattling and the noise? If so, then that's your preference.

My 8800 gts went from 52 at idle to 59 at idle.
at idle not a big deal but a full load , a 7c increase , is a big deal for me.
Alos keep in mind i payed almost 45$ canadian dollars for 2 of this fans.
Yes built quality is certainly 100 times better then the aerocool, and they are definetly not has loud has the aerocool. But what is the point of fans? to keep my hardware cool , and they fail miserably at that. I certainly dont buy fans cause they are extremely well built and quite but fail to keep my stuff cool. Ill put up with noise if they keep my staff cool.

Remember that higher temperatures don't take all that much away. I thought ahead and bought a case with a 36CM fan when I built. I found a setting (60% I estimate) that made the fan silent while moving probably 140CFM. Huge fan to say the least... I won't be putting it on 100% (bad case of high air pressure). As for the Scythe fans--I actually love my S-Flex that came default on my Infinity... it spins at no more than 700RPM (observed) at load. I have to do some load testing before I return to the Infinity... I need to get a handle on my temperatures with the stock Intel heatsink (a bit of aluminum) and AC MX-2 before I return to the kilogram of aluminum and copper.

The difference between a 3500RPM case fan and a 1600RPM case fan shouldn't be 7C, let alone an 1800RPM (Aerocool) vs. a 1600RPM (S-Flex F).
Heck, it takes a very special radiator design (TONS of fins densely packed--like 2x what the TRUE has) with a high heatload (like 180W) for 7C difference in 1600RPM CPU fan and a ~3000RPM CPU fan.
Add in the fact that the 1800RPM acts like a 1700RPM (at best) with even a basic fan filter and I'm extremely confused how that happened. Did you orient the Scythes the same way as the Aerocools?

Im not 100% sure but i think my aerocool 2000 is only 950 rpm and the schyte one is 1600.
it sayd 950 + 10% not sure what it means
i think the 140 mm one is the 1800 rpm one , mine is only 120mm

i think the 140 mm one is the 1800 rpm one , mine is only 120mmYou have the slow ones? They make both for 120mm :) I assumed you had the faster ones since you mentioned noise.
And damn, I hate to say this, but I really have no explanation that doesn't involve some form of user-error or a massive ambient difference.
Maybe your case has no airflow balance? There is really no reason a mediocre 950RPM fan should be 7C cooler than a top-end 1600RPM. :(
